With over 100 years in the town our butchers in the Turban Centre, has a solid reputation built on outstanding good service. The much loved format of high class meats and friendly staff are overseen by a new manager who took over in June 2009.
We specialise in providing superior cuts of local meat. All the beef and lamb can be verified and traced back to its original farm. Beef for example is sure to have been fed only on wholesome feed like barley and fermented grass. Virtually any We produce our own beefburgers and an acclaimed range of homemade sausages. There are currently eight varieties including venison and apricot and anjou pork among others. they aremade to an original recipe and avoid colouring or bread "fillers". They are ideal for those on a gluten free diet. The three kinds of bacon are extremely popular too. Our own range of dry cured bacon is cured on the premises for six days before being sent for smoking to C & K Meats. The results are a distinctive rustic flavour that has to be tried to be appreciated. Apart from the FIRST CLASS cuts of meat there is a large deli section with numerous cheeses, pork pies etc. Cooked meats favour those roasted on the premises. for example own cooked ham, beef,turkey and haslet. The Patchwork range of delicious pates include Cointreau & Orange, Stilton & Guiness and other unusal flavours. The biggest Tiptree preserves in the town is complimented with other condiment, stuffing mixes, sauces, Greek olive oil etc. We also supply Local free range eggs.
